FleetDM Configuration (Generate an API Token)

FleetDM uses API tokens tied to user accounts for authentication.

Log in to FleetDM

Log in to your FleetDM instance.

Generate the API token

Go to My account → Get API token (/profile).
Copy and save the token immediately — you won’t be able to see it again.

Serval Configuration

  1. In Serval, go to Apps → Available → FleetDM → Connect
  2. Enter your API Domain — this is the domain you use to access the Fleet UI, without https://
    • Example: yourcompany.cloud.fleetdm.com
  3. Enter your API Token
  4. Click Save

Troubleshooting

Connection Timeout

  • Verify your Fleet server is accessible from Serval
  • Check that the API domain is correct

Permission Denied

  • Verify your FleetDM user account has the required permissions
  • Some endpoints require Admin or Maintainer roles
