# Inbox

> A dedicated place in the Serval web app for notifications, filters, and bulk read actions

The **Inbox** is Serval’s in-product notification center. It pulls together updates you care about—approvals, tickets, access, and other events—so you are not hunting through Slack alone to find what needs attention.

## Open the Inbox

In the Serval web app, choose **Inbox** in the main sidebar (near **New request** and **Tickets**). You will also see an **unread indicator** when there is new activity.

The page opens at `/inbox` with a **list of notifications** on the left and a **detail panel** on the right when you select an item.

## Filter and focus

Use the **filter** control to narrow the list:

* **Notification type** — Show only certain kinds of events (for example access, tickets, or approvals, depending on what your organization receives).
* **Team** — Focus on notifications tied to a specific team.
* **Sent by** — Filter to activity from a particular person.

Turn on **Unread only** when you want a tight queue of what you have not opened yet.

## Mark all as read

When you have cleared what you needed, open the header **menu** (⋮) and choose **Mark all as read** to reset unread state for the current team context in one action.

## Who it is for

Inbox is especially useful if you **own approvals**, **cover multiple teams**, or get a **high volume** of Serval notifications and need a single surface to triage, filter, and catch up.
