# Delete Assignment Rule

> Delete an assignment rule. Nothing is renumbered, so the rule's display_order is left behind as a gap and every other rule keeps its value. Excluded from the generated MCP tools: Catalyst changes assignment rules through staged, human-published change sets, and an auto-generated tool would be an unstaged second path to the same rows.
